Remix of Zemistr's Phone-Tablet stand - Clip Close Version

Zemistr's Phone and Tablet stand is well thought out with most of the attributes I was looking for:

• Easy to Print
• Portable and fits on a keyring
• Stable

I decided I would prefer it latched closed so it did not swing open while carrying it.

I modified these items:

reduce the print material slightly. I considered an open framework, but I did not want a little kid getting their fingers caught.

• added a latch to help hold it closed. PLA does not flex well so it uses the play in the hinge to allow it to close and open over the latching ridge.
• I added a 14mm spaced model. A lot of phones with more drop resistant cases seam to be around 12mm so I added 2mm to the phone opening so those phones could lean more.
• Added a 16mm spaced model after encountering friends that required it

I added the size number to the inside so I could tell them apart. I actually found a remix first so I will include that one with the latch change too. I did not like the shorter version by Sherks as it could not hold bigger phones I own with the desired stability. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4573966

Halloween is coming.
For many years I have offered a candy option and a non-candy option to all. Phone Stylus and Keyrings have been very popular. My stylus supply is running low so phone stands will be the offer. These print at the right price and should be very popular. I have had as many as 50% of my visitors take a non-candy option.

I could see them being good party favors or as a good donation item to a local old age home or recovery facility.

I did not try any of the print as one piece remixes. That process usually slows the print down as it builds the hinge gap and many did not have the large keyring attachment.

All the snap togethers worked fine except for a Gold SILK PLA I tried. It was too brittle and/or layer weak. All 4 shattered at the hinge. The PETG prints I did went together easily too.

8/2022 I am adding a size 18 as one in about 100 has a battery case or some really large.  All great thank you giveaways for me.

10/2022 The 20.  This one has a larger body.  I thought the 18 would cover all the people I give away to... but there are still yet larger cases.

As I am not the original designer and the overall attributes of the design are the same I updated the licensing to be in line with Zemistr's current settings.
