This is a tree lamp using RGB LEDs. It is a 5 part design that is assembled to make a beautiful tree lamp.

Print instructions

Print tree trunk and tree top in any material and color. (white is best for tree top).

IMPORTANT: tree top must be printed in vase mode or the light won't shine through.

Print light rod, tree base and tree base lid in any heat resitent material (LEDs and electronics can get hot).

Align the led box with the power plug hole on the back side and glue or stick it down. You should be able to plug power cable in while case is together.

Feed the infrared sensor through the square shaped hole and the led connecter through the circular hole in the top.

Screw the lid to the base with any screws you have that work. I personally used #4 1/2 wood screws.

Feed the led strip through the light rod and the tree trunk. Glue the tree trunk to the base with whatever you normally use to glue prints (I used gorilla glue). Align the light rod's prongs with the holes in the top of the tree and push it in. Twist the light rod to the left until it locks into place.

Wrap the led strip around the light rod until there's none left. Secure it to the other LEDs with a small piece of tape.

Take the tree top and align the holes in the bottom with the prongs on top of the tree branches and push the prongs through the holes.

Take the infrared sensor and wrap it in tape so it can be snuggly pressed into the square hole in the front of the base.
