A matching vat and sieve originally designed for a Grade 11 Technology project regarding reducing the use of one-time use plastics. The idea was to make the spherification process involved in making edible water bottles more efficient using this system rather than manually to reduce the need for plastic bottles. We also had to make and CNC a logo out of acrylic for which the files are also attached. The vat was CNC machined out of 3 thick slabs of MDF glued together and then coated in varnish to waterproof it, but can also be 3D printed. The initial plan was to have it CNC milled from aluminum, but our teacher said that would be too expensive to do in class. Can be used for sifting, maybe electroplating, or to make edible water bottles of your own.
